A lot of the time, I do things that are kind of obnoxious simply because I’m mentally citing something (a song, a quote, a completely imagined scenario) that I find entertaining. However, this ‘joke’ is often a closed loop - I don’t bother explaining the original referent and thus my actions seem crude, insensitive, or a bit erratic and bizarre.

Last year I was briefly obsessed by this song. And for reasons only known to my brain, this meant I went through a stage where I found it hilarious, when I met someone at a bar or arrived at a party, to open by loudly proclaiming, ‘I came here with my dick in my hand.’ This gave me immense pleasure (and often resulted in fits of giggles), but obviously seemed a bit weird to everyone else (especially since the actual explanation lacks logic). While this weird tic only lasted a couple of months, when this song popped up in a shuffle mix yesterday I found myself laughing so much my face hurt. Oh Mystikal, never change
